GRIDWORKS

A tiny factory. Every sprite is 5×5 pixels. Mine ore, automate everything, launch a rocket.

THE LOOP

• Hand-mine: hold left-click on an ore patch to mine it yourself.
• Craft (C): turn plates into gears, circuits, and machines by hand.
• Automate: Miners dig ore and spit it forward. Belts carry items. Inserters move items between belts and machines. Furnaces and Miners burn coal as fuel.
• Research (T): build Labs, feed them science packs, unlock better toys.
• Win: research Rocketry, build a Silo, feed it 10 Rocket Parts, hit LAUNCH.

CONTROLS

• WASD/arrows pan · scroll zoom · middle-drag pan
• 1–9 pick a building · R rotate · Q/Esc cancel
• Left-click / drag place · Right-click / drag demolish (refunds everything)
• Click any machine to open it. Click its slots to take items out; use the buttons to put fuel/ingredients in.
• C crafting & inventory · T research · H this screen

TIPS

• Miners output to the tile they face — point them at a belt, chest, or straight into a furnace.
• Furnaces and assemblers only load/unload through inserters (or your own two hands).
• Inserters grab from the tile behind them and drop to the tile in front.
• Inserters can feed coal into miners and furnaces. Automate fuel early — hand-feeding gets old.
• Ore patches are finite. The map is infinite. Expand.
